Don't Miss Your "Real" Market

Social media is fun, but it's not real media. To be successful today, you still need to get mainstream broadcast and print media. Even the Kardashians can't do it with social media alone. That's why they are constantly doing TV interviews, radio shows and magazine features.

The reality is, most social media posts never even get seen unless you pay to boost them (and then people know it's just paid advertising). That's why even if you have a lot of followers, posts can still get little or no engagement. It's a false sense of promotion. People spend a lot of time creating and posting content on social media, and they think they are promoting. Actually, they are completely missing most of their potential market. The truly "bankable" publicity still remains primarily the domain of traditional media.
